Queens of Pain
All our rides are at our relaxed community pace. It’s a strictly no-drop ride and we will wait at key points to keep the group together. Our group rides are more about claiming some precious and potholed tarmac space than chasing any records. The only essential things to bring are a working bike (any type will do), a spare inner tube to fix a flat tyre, and fully charged lights. We also encourage you to wear a helmet!
Our rides are completely self supported which means we will be there for you as best we can, but by joining us for a ride you agree that Queens of Pain and the ride leaders are not responsible for your safety - you are responsible for your own safety and well-being, and that of other road users.
Guide to doing an M-check
It is very important that you check your brakes beforehand, for your own safety and that of everyone in the group. We recommend you regularly carry out an M-check of your bike. Bringing some tools to fix a flat tyre would be grand but there will always be someone with tools to help out if you need to borrow anything (if disaster strikes, you will get help).
